Beautiful submission from a great collector.
To indentify some of the photos that are not described:
Page 1- Top: Syosset Nightraiders running C-Hose, with James "Mootsie" Thomas running nozzle.
Page 1- Bottom: Massapequa Indians running Motor H&L Dummy, with the first climber Willy Bryson.
Page 2- Top: Oyster Bay Roughriders running B-Ladder with the "Dogbeater" on his way to a great climb.
Page 4- Top Left: Former State rules Chairman Wilbur Young keeping score, with another unknown racer.
Page 4- Middle: Bayport Red Devils running Motor H&L Dummy.
Page 4- Bottom: 78 Trophies!!! This may have been a 12 event drill. (That would account for 60 place trophies)

Thank You Jo Jo for preserving some great history.
Some items to note:
Some of the footage is from the 1951 State Drill In Coney Island (see the Roller Coaster in the background!?)
Did you notice the hydrant on the left side of the course? I don't know if this was from Hicksville, but that drill was the last remembered that had this unusual feature.
I thought the team that used a Quad to run pump was Da Bomb! I know that Merrick (Night Riders from H & L) was one of the last to do this, but I can't tell if this was them on that footage.
Still reviewing, many more details to come. What Ya Got?

Big thanks to Jo Jo for the submisson..... ;D
One thing in particular I noticed was the guys jumping on the hose during EFFICIENCY. I have never seen or heard of that being done. I also thought the use of the wooden flag to start the timing was pretty cool too.... Really great stuff....

You see, they really had water problems back then!
They also had to run 25' to the hose, picking it up, and then completing the contest, target at the curb!

The beginning of Part 1, the track is Madison Ave. Hempstead, the beginning of Part 5, i believe is Rockville Centre. Part 2 has some great shots of ladder, but i don't know why we can't view it.

AWESOME FOOTAGE!! I wish efficiency would continue to be run like they did in the old days(run to pick-up couplings then put them together). also i thought i saw JOJO and RALPH in all the clips. can someone from the hornets confirm or deny that accusation? (i know its possible considering the film is from the 50's)
