I cant take all the credit for the pics. Kevin Hayes from West Islip was kindly enough to lend me his photo collection to post here on the forum. He has tons of good pics from the 60's to the 80's that he personally took. THANKS UNCLEKEVIE!

Based on earlier pics, the floral park C rig, did that come from Oyster Bay TB's? Also, the Ilion (?) C, might have come from Elmont. The newer C shown for Elmont (not their current C) looks very similar to the Westerners old C (silver and black) that is shown.

Around 73-74 Floral Park and Oyster bay had sister c-rigs to each other. They are not the same trucks. Also the Elmont C and the Westerners C are different trucks built by the same person. The Elmont truck pictured was also the Islip "Wolves" pictured.

Answers to questions by west. The pictures from Patchogue are 91 or 92. Floral Parks Willeys and the Teddy's Boys Willieys are two different trucks. I'm not sure if Ed Akium built both of them or not. I don't think the Ilion C car is the Elmont C truck. Elmont appears to have run the camaro as a uni-body car as it was built by Detroit (Chevrolet). The Ilion C car looks like it is a complete chassis with a Camaro nose. Elmont's C that looks like the Westerners were similar as they were both build by High Tune Automotive's Dennis Quintoni. HE also built Hornets,Hicks, Wolves and Rinky Dinks. Elmont's survives in Sea Breeze as does West Hempstead went to Oyster Bay rough Riders before it found a home in Brentwood while the Hornets truck is revving happilly in Henrietta. Wolves and Dinks were parted out and cut up for scrap metal. The hicks are still running thier truck.
