the last state drill in watertown i believe 89 clayton 4th place c-hose, but i understand that the sanction was lifted or the drill was cancelled so i think it never went down in the books correct me if I'm wrong or tell me the story of that day

Yes, due to safety issues, no guard rails, sand / dirt all over the track, the sanction was lifted for that drill. The association has since put policies in place to prevent this from occurring again.

Elsmere had a 4th. place finish in B-Hose in 82 at Olean however we belonged to Nassau at the time. We also scored a 4th in 3-man ladder in 89 before they pulled the sanction in C-Hose. We had joined Suffolk by that time.
