OK, here's a discussion starter:
If you were to pick the top 5 drill team members of all time - not just recently, but over the entire history of the sport - who you feel to be the most influential to the sport, and who had the greatest impact on the sport - the "legends", you might say - who would you choose?
Off the bat, I'm told Wilbur Young should be on that list...but also who else?

These men are undoubtedly influential to drill team racing but, It would be great to hear the stories or the reasons why they are influential!

I would definitly have to say Shawn Matthews from Lindy, and not just because he is a member of my team but because he was the first ever to put B-Ladder in the 4s..

Gary Parris(Pachouge) One of the best racing guys at all positions he ran, most of all hydrant as good as they come. Like money in the bank in B & C Hose. Can you come up with a better one.

Paul Jordan - Climber ( Merrick Outlaws & W. Hempstead Westerners) Great and extremely consistent tournament day climber in B & C Ladder has to be ranked in top 5 climbers in racing history. State record of 9.01 in C Ladder was probably the first 8 ever run in that event according to video footage. Most of all a great friend and teamate who will always be missed.

Correction time was 9.03 and not record it was .003 off state record at time and date was 9/4/89 but their is still video footage available to show possibility of being first run in the 8's in c ladder
