The high point trophy was in name of Barney Loonan...... What do we know, if anything about him?

Looks like he was an Ex-Chief from Freeport. Not sure of his connection to racing or FASNY. I'll keep looking.

I checked my stuff and found that Bernard Loonam in 1935-36 was a member of a committee on the FASNY BOARD. IN 1937 he was assigned to the Law Committee of the NYS FIREMANS ASSO. (FASNY I ASSUME). At the time he was chairman of the Nassau County Asso. Law committee. He is also listed as a drill official in programs starting in at least 1939 and beyond 1947. In 1937 a relative,Walter, was a 2nd Lieut. In Hose 3 of Freeport.

One more, Loonam was the chairman of the SNY Convention held in Farmingdale in 1948 and gave the welcome and opening remarks. He is also listed as the announcer at that drill.
