Only major drill missing is the Islip Terrace Labor Day Invite but those results are now on the way. docs.google.com/folder/d/0B5B7pQeCMMPEeWcxY3RZaERmMzA/edit?usp=sharingFYI, for the Total Points sheet, I used all Drills held in Nassau and the State Drill for Nassau, all Drills held in Suffolk and the State Drill for Suffolk. If anyone knows if this is inaccurate, please let me know.

Awesome job! There is one more drill that is missing. The 5th Battalion Drill which would have been held on 6/16 of that year.

That would be great, I am currently in contact with FMan about the scorecards he mentioned in the Historical Records thread. LUNCHBOX, I added the drill to the sheet, any idea where it was held or who won?

Not sure. I am going to try to research past 5th Batt Drills. We have an old Total Point Leg Trophy from the 5th. Might be able to get some past winners from that. The 5th Battalion Drill has always been held on the third Saturday in June. Any info that I get I will get it to you.

Was great to look back at 79 season...after 76 there was a mass exodus of guysretirig from the championship teams and 77 and 78 brought a brand new crop of roadrunners and were in rebuilding mode.....at least in 79 we got back to mediocrity and finished in a respectable 3 or 4th im county points...my question here is back then i thinkk they basically just rewarded 1st in county pts....dont recall all the end of season awards....did they exist? is there records maybe of the top 5 in county pts somewhere maybe in the dtca minutes from the 70s if such min utes still exist

Looking @ these & other score sheets reminded me of teams I saw in the 60's as a kid. Unfortunately, I can't picture the rigs. For instance, what make & year truck did Stewart Manor run; what did Hagerman have before they got got LC's rig? And when did tournament move from E I to Terrace?

FYI, I updated the link at the top. This should now take you to a folder for the 79 Season which has subfolders for each drill. Inside each subfolder I have included the results that were printed in Newsday. I intend to do this for each year I have stuff for. Going forward this should allow me to include other stories, photos, scans of scorecards, etc in the individual drill folders as well (see Hicksville).
If you have any problems seeing stuff please let me know.

The Wildcats still have all of the trophies displayed from their '79 Labor Day Victory in Islip Terrace. Unfortunately, no one can see them as they are under lock and key with the rest of the Drill Team's equipment.
