Incredible pictures - thanks for posting these. Interesting to see how any given department might have run multiple teams (companies) like PW did for so long. Pics 19, 25 & 70 all the same driver but 3 different trucks. Holbrook was once the Comets. Interesting to see Hewlett's rig that was kept for so long, and Lawrence-Cedarhurst with the funky windshield. Knew Roosevlt had been Brush Rabbits and Rum Pointers, but also Bear Cats obviously. Did Rabbits and Bear Cats run at the same time, but different companies? Again, excellent photos - lots of history.

West: You are correct, Roosevelt had company teams, the Hose 3 Bear Cats and Hose 2 Brush Rabbits, and they competed against each other. The photos show that the Bear Cats had Rum Point on the truck, which is what Roosevelt was called in earlier times. When the department team was formed, they took the name "Rum Pointers"
