Great find !! I enjoyed looking at these pictures. Elmont ran that B truck into the 80's when it was replaced with the current Chevy. Bay Shore's Hudson C truck went to the Bar-X- Boys in West Islip sometime in the late Fifties or early Sixties. It is unfortunate that all of those trucks most likely met thier demise and no longer exist. They are all currently revving thier engines and living on in ours hearts and minds, thanks to film and computers. Pour yourself a beer and salute the men and thier racing machines of yesteryear!!!!

Wonderful find Mike!...Wooden racing ladders!...C-Trucks in the parades!
I think photos 3 thru 11 came from the 1952 Floral Park Parade.
In Photo #12 of this set, we can see "Oats" DeMott driving the Yellow Hornets C-Truck in a unknown parade. He raced for the Flukes and the Yellow Hornets, and is Bumpy Bray's Uncle!
