Teams in the plattsburgh area

While i was reading one of the old threads, i came across someone mentioning teams in the plattsburgh area. I go to school at SUNY Plattsburgh and was wondering if anyone on here had any info on these plattsbrugh area teams?? EX: Do they still race, did they every race, events run, motorized old fashioned, so any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I dont bealive they were ever nys sanctioned motorized or old fashioned but they used to have county tournaments with a hybrid of events sorta like ours. I think the only sanctioned team close to plattsburgh is lake placid. I have heard some of the old timers talking from time to time about feild days in Ausable and Peru, but nothing like we do.
