Unknown year of picture. Farmingdale Fire Department. This Track is said to be the location of the Southern New York Tournament on Grant Ave. off Main St. Farmingdale. I am guessing circa 1920's??

I realize now why that pic seemed strangely reminiscient to me: there's a photo in my book that I believe is from the same drill. That photo (below) shows West Sayville's team competing in Cart Hose at what I believe is the same track: compare arch construction, and the house to the left and rear of the arch. Both are no doubt earlier than the 1920's, as motorized drills started becoming commonplace during the late 'teens. The only info that came with West Sayville's pic was "circa 1900's", which would mean not too long after the turn of the century, and which would seem to make sense. fdracing.911pictures.com/1900s West Sayville_LR.jpg[/img]

It's amazing that over 100 years later we're still running the same events.
You think they argued water time?

It looks like the American flags have 48 stars on them. This picture has to be some time after 1912 because thats when America started using this flag

Great pics! If you look closely at the first pic you can see Leon in the first row, waiting for 3-man ladder to start.
