cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180340794729&_trksid=p2759.l12591946 Buick Roadmaster Hose Wagon A RARE FIND.... This rare custom-built fire truck would make a great addition to any custom car collectors' collection. The fire truck has been stored in a barn for the past 25 years. It runs but just needs some restoring on interior and exterior. There are only three of these custom built wagons in the world. Details include: • Dynaflo Automatic Transmission • Straight eight – 8 cylinders • Exterior color is red • Interior color is red • VIN # 1477848I • Mileage 25,876

Unless I'm entirely wrong this truck did belong to St. James. When I started racing with the Wildcats in 1971 it was no longer used in competition but was used to haul the C-truck at that time. It was also used to drive aound town on errands, etc. I drove this vehicle several times and it was a blast. It was way low to the ground and backfired on command. I left for the Navy the day after the Hicksville Labor Day Tournament in 1972 and never saw this truck again until now. What a find.!!!

I am pretty sure if you look under those covers on each side door panel you find the logo of the Port Jefferson Seagulls.
Oldbastard has identified this old girl correctly!

You're correct Historian. I believe this was owned by the Seagulls prior to St. James getting it. Geez, I'd love to drive this vehicle again.

I REMEMBER PORT JEFF USING A RIG LIKE THIS TO HAUL EQUIPMENT TO THE OLD FASHIONED DRILLS IN THE EARLY 1960'S. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN BRING IT HOME TO LONG ISLAND.
