I have the team captain on video saying it was built in 1974.
Perhaps the body was on a previous rig.

Yeah, Ida Mae was (is) a 54' F-500. Where was the picture that is on Harephoto's site taken? Was that the condition she was in before West Carthage rescued her? Hope they get mufflers on that rig! I hope they don't......those Zoomies are way cool. Screw mufflers and having to hide moving parts...#nosmileys |

MOTERHEAD THAT PHOTO WAS TAKEN FROM 2002 STATES AT DEERFIELD. ALSO SHE WAS IN PRETTY ROUGH SHAPE WHEN WE GOT HER. WE HAD TO REFURB ABOUT 95% OF HER, IT TOOK US ABOUT A YEAR TO FINISH. ANY PRIOR HISTORY ON HER BEFORE WE GOT HER.

 This vehicle originally started out as a combo flood light and hose truck. It is a 1951 Ford F, Flathead V8 motor  In 1976 it was converted to a tournment truck and the V8 Flathead was replaced with a 454cu Chevy Big block motor BTW-When did they change their name to the "SPOOK SPECIALS"? |

I saw at the 5th batt. tournament East Norwich has alot of young guys on there team, why cant they get a motorized team together and get that truck back on the track?

THE ENFC SPOOKS WERE ORIGINALLY CALLED THE SPOOKS SPECIALS, THEN THEY SHORTENED IT TO THE SPOOKS, AND THEN ONCE AGAIN WENT BACK TO THIER ORIGINAL NAME. AS FAR AS A MOTORIZED TEAM..THEY TRIED TO GET IT TOGETHER BUT JUST COULDN'T. THEY SHOULD BECAUSE THEY DO HAVE ALOT OF YOUNG GUYS.
