Wasn't this the drill where they lifted the sanction? Lack of water pressure? You couldn't reach the target from the nozle line. Too many lawn sprinklers.

No West, the Stumpjumper truck is not the truck that Bought had. The North Merrick truck was a F-500 and the Bought truck was a F-350. Now for a question to Circusmonkey. Would that North Merrick truck have been the basis for Farmingdale Coolies green ford F-500? I myself don't really think so, but I can't remember that truck going anywhere else.

ON A HISTORICAL NOTE I THINK THIS COULD BE THE LAST MAJOR NASSAU-SUFFOLK MOTORIZED DRILL HELD ON LONG ISLAND AT A TEMPORARY COURSE WITH NO GUARDRAILS.

Here's why: I recall that truck having a painted grill, and possibly being on the course, (1977-78??) when Uniondale still owned that B-truck. I also think Farmingdale's was a 1968, Uniondale's was a 1972. I still don't know where the the Hellcat's truck went from after North Merrick, but they certainly had it looking good.

I do recall a story told to me back in the day by one of the NMFD team members that this "b" rig went on fire while being trailered back from Ridge in the late 1980's on the L.I.E.......the cause being that the BBQ was put in the bed of the rig while still warm and caused part of the truck to be damaged
p.s. this is one of 4 or 5 b-rigs I can think of that NMFD has raced with

By that time F'dale had cut the roof and doors off of their rig. So unless NM went and replaced those parts....Also as Geek stated both the Hellcats and Coolies had both thier 500's at the same time(78-79). But North Merrick did get their next rig(white 74 Chevy) from the Farmingdale Coolies. The 74 Chevy replaced the Coolies F500, although I yet to see any photos of this Coolies Chevy. Anyone out there remember this?

I remember that truck Joe. It is still around and is currently owned by the Merrick Buckeyes.

Yes Joe I remember the Coolies having the Chevy. Does anyone have a picture of it as the Coolies truck. There is a picture of it on page 5 in B truck trivia as North Merricks truck. So what ever became of the Hellcats / Stump Jumpers F-500 B Truck? Anybody? Is it in drill team heaven?
