Great pictures. Is the 5th pic (yellow rig) Norwood Rackateers? And the 12th pic (also yellow rig) W Carthage?

Those pictures are great my father has a collection from back then that i have looked at so many times. To see the old panthers truck and the red white and blue paint job only makes me yurn to have been alive back then to see it in person. The only thing that i can say is that the rear of that truck was passed on to the next one and i got to take my first ride on it.
Great Pictures!!!!

Hey beavertail. If you could get a hold of your father's collection, scan them and post them. We would love to see them.

I believe that many moons ago Philadelphia hit the arch at Spencerport with that truck, and judging from pictures I think that truck ended up in Albion? and was later destroyed in a barn fire.

MX23 you are correct. That was the truck that hit the arch in Spencerport and ended up burning up in a barn fire in Albion along with their B-Truck and all their equipment.

Do a search on this thread, there are several pics of it. After Dexter, it went to Holland Patent, then briefly to Mohawk and finally to Clayton, they still run it.

Thanks diver. My department looked into buying the truck 20 years or so ago. Due to some other problems within the department at the time, we didn't have the votes to buy it. I will have to look around!
