giants hat, great job! Mineola used to have a track on 8th Ave. / Station Rd. just across the tracks from Winthrop. Was taken down in the mid 80's when they started developing the area. Maybe one of the old Bully Boys can confirm.

Also, the Albertson Slo-Pokes had a track on Albertson Ave. along the rail road tracks, north of I.U. Willets Rd. It made for a wild c-hose run with slight left bend in the road just before the hydrant.

East Rockaway's track was next to the DPW building on John Street
Lakeviews, Woodfield Road track had the starting lines for OF Hose Events perpedicular across Woodfield Road, the hydrant was right next to the fire house, miss and you might end up with bruised knuckles and you had to stop the cart quickly after the arch or it was downhill into the woods

Vin, North Lindy used to practice behind Queen of the Rosary academy on Albany Ave, B Truck only, and no arch, we used to run out and catch ladder as it was going up! Track was on a bend in the road! I tried to "catch" a picture from google but did not have much luck. East Farmingdale also practiced there on occasion.

Thank you Giants hat for keeping the history alive!
I have 2 of the missing sites:
1968 - General Electrics Park in Syracuse, off of Elctronics Parkway. They have (had, it is now part of Martin-Marietta) a huge parking lot on the north side of the complex.
1969 - D A R Drive in the middle of La Salle Park in Buffalo. We ran from west to east near the ball fields.

Thank you Historian.
The only ones we are missing now are 1950 (Syracuse) and 1957 (Horseheads).

Plainview had a practice arch along side their substation. North Patchouge has an old fashion track and arch near their firehouse by the school. Miller Place used to have a practice arch behind their main house. Farmingdale had a track by the R.R. tracks in Farmingdale.
