I might of missed it,but I guess "The 40 thieves" is from Ali Babba and his 40 thieves fame,even though Patchouge's logo is a prisoner. How did Patchouge come up with that name?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these "40 Thieves" refer to one of the many street gangs of NYC back in the 1800's.

When related to the fire service, the 40 Thieves was actually not a complimentary name. It is what the firefighters of the FDNY used to call the salvage squads in NYC, which were created by the Insurance Underwriters to protect property contents from water damage, etc.
