1952 Ford East Meadow "Meadowlarks" Baldwin "Tomcats" Baldwin FD (or I believe one of the ex-Chiefs) had bought the rig from E.M.F.D. but the board wouldn't give approval to run a racing team. So it sat at the B.O.C.E.S. school down in Baldwin Harbor for quite a few years. Thats where I took this picture. A couple of years later Baldwin finally got the nod to run and did the truck up right. If you look closely in the background to the left you can see the window area of the old "Eggnoggers" rig. Baldwin had bought that rig from me for parts to use on their truck. (Yes I owned the truck for about 2 years after buying it from an ex member of the team). Anyway the Baldwin truck was fixed up and the Oceanside rig was scrapped. "CIRCUSMONKEY"

1954 Ford "IDA MAE" Great Neck "Alerts" West Carthage "Hornets" I personally have some direct history with this b-truck. In 1997 I found this truck in a local classic car classified newspaper called Special Intrest Vechicles. A past member of the Great Neck fire dept. bought it and moved upstate. Three of us went upstate to purchase this b-truck for the parts hoping it still had the pump in it. When we got there of course there was no pump in it. We made this guy a crazy offer for it and he jumped at it. So we flat towed it all the way back to our firehouse. A couple months later We were approached by the West Carthage "Hornets". They bought this truck from us and Brought it back all the way to northern upstate. In 2000 The West Carthage "Hornets" brought it back to life and it is now being raced again. So i bored you all with this long story but it is great to see another team using it instead of it going to the crusher!

Hmmmmm... The Bandits old Ford looks awfully familiar It started out as OUR old Rig up until 1965. From there I believe it sat in Manorville for a bit, possibly somewhere else before Farmingville got it. Its last known whereabouts was on a farm out in Cutchogue or Southold.
